    Hello Everybody,
Nice forum and keep up the work. We had been shopping for a laptop for my wife and came across the Compaq Presario 4332 at CompUsa. Tried to find review in this forum and could not find any review for this specific model. Is this model made specifically for CompUsa. Also if any of you have any feedback on the above model please reply.

    Spec :
    Intel Pentium M Centrino 740 1.7 processor
    1.0 Gig Memory
    100 GigaBytes Hard Drive
    Intel Wireless card
    DVD RW
    15.4 " Display.
    It was listed for $999.

    Thank you in advance.

It is probably a pre-configured model of the v4000. You should consider the FAQ in what should I buy forum and post there. For HPs I would recommend buying on HP.com as you can configure it the way want. CNET has a review of the v4000 here.

I'd spend $50 more for the dv5130. Better 64-bit capable CPU, better GPU, slightly bigger HD.

zazonz, Thank you very much for the reply. I have a store credit from CompUSA and that was the reason I am stuck with them now. Also I priced the same configuration at hp.com and it came to around $1200.

brianstretch, thank you for the 5130 suggestion. I too was looking at that. But how would the AMD Turion compare to the Intel Chip?

Pentium M has a little bit better battery life. Without knowing what you plan to do with it, it is hard to assess whether it is a good fit. The dv5000 is a pretty good budget notebook.
