    Hi Guys and Girls,
Ok so I need an extra power adapter for my Compaq V6110US that I got for Christmas the original is DC359A#ABA 65watts 18.5volts 3.5amps. There is a EH642AA#ABA 90watts same voltage 18.5 4.9amps. I e-mailed HP and the response is I could use either one.
Now I've read that if you use the 90watt adapter it will speed the processer up.
Ok Techs out there is this true or will I just end up with a hotter laptop?
    Thanks,
    Norman :D

The processor speeding up myth is not really true. The 65W is more than enough to charge your batteries and run your laptop. The 90W adaptor probably wont even work with your system since the last time I checked the plug(the part which you connect to the laptop) for the 90W adaptor is bigger than what is in the 65W version. So it wont fit into the charging port on the laptop.

I would recommend getting the 65W version, it should be fully compatible and there shoudltn be any issues with performance either.
