    Hi All,

I've got a Compaq Pressario M2200 series. I had heard that Compaq has a very bad reputation with its power system.

Now after two years it has happened to me.

When I try to charge the battery and concurrently use the notebook, the DC socket gets so hot and it makes the dc power jack area extremely hot as well. However, it 's normal when I charge the battery while the notebook is off.

I'm quite sure that if I continue with this problem it gets faulty.

Could you please tell me what is the cause of the problem and how can I fix it.

    Cheers
