This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Compaq 2545 help needed

    My laptop quit powering on. I read through some threads and thought it was the DC jack. I replaced the DC jack and got nothing, came back this morning and it was charging, good to go. Brought it downstairs showed it to my wife fairly proud of successfully accomplishing my repair task. Bring it back upstairs and plug it in, and nothing. It works fine whenever it gets power.

    Help needed I am lost.
