    Hi all.

I'm thinking of purchasing an old Armada M300 to do notes in class in school. I am a memory junkie and what is stopping me is that all the old specifications indicate a 320 mb RAM is the limit of the computer. A lot of these specs were made before 512 mb SO-SDRAM were introduced. Does anyone know if a 512 mb chip will register in this laptop allowing for a total of 576 ram? If so, are there any specific brands to look out for?

Thanks for any possible help. The beauty of the laptop is of course the size (or lack there of) and the price on e-bay (approx. 250 USD).

it depends. sometimes it will register only the amount they specify, other times that spec reflects the maximum stick size when the laptop was released. You will just have to try a larger stick and see.
