I have a Armada 1592 which I'm attempting to install W/98 Via the CD.

    Problem:
Non-Dos partition blown away and no quickrestore utility. CD-ROM (OEM) not being recognized and will not boot to Windows after it's installed.

    My efforts to date:
Tried the HP Compaq site with no success. Unit is in working condition, the SP they recommended either are not available or don't work. Loaded 98 nad unable to get it to see the CD-ROM.

    Goal:
Get a Non-Dos partition so that CMOS will see the CD-ROM. and then load 98

    Thanks,
