    Compaq CQ40-107au ticking/popping sound

    I get an annoying intermittent ticking/popping sound w/c I think comes from the speakers when i'm using it in battery mode. I also notice that it only occurs when the power option is set at balanced or power saver when the lcd is dim. Is this normal w/ this model?
