Hi guys, my friend's cq60 got infected with a virus and he got rid by wiping everything and upgrading from vista home basic to professional. He now has a weird problem with his speakers/headphones. When he opens any program or application that has audio without any headphones plugged in, his speakers work fine. But when he plugs in his headphones with the program still running, the speakers and headphones both don't work. When the headphones are then unplugged the speakers don't seem to work either. However, the os is recognising that headphones are being plugged in and removed. To be able to listen to using the headphones he has to close the program and restart it.
Can you give any advice on what might be the problem and how to fix it?
    Sorry for the long story
