I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-406TU and when watching online TV with yahoo7plus, any program watched there at exactly 21mins and 52 secs into the program, it becomes distorted with a band of random colours that continues until the end of the program. It is interesting that any adverts shown during the program are NOT distorted like this. When watching other Australian online TV providers, like ABC iView, ninemsn fixplay, SBS, or TEN this problem NEVER occurs. Hence it seems this problem only manifests with CQ61 and Yahoo7plus. Furthermore, I have a neighbour who has a CQ60 and they have the same issue, therefore CQ60 also has this problem.
Both IE8 and Chrome exhibit this problem, hence it's not a browser issue, it seems.

I would be interested if there are any other CQ61'ers who also experience this problem, or if anyone has any suggestions to fix it?
Flash Player is 10.3.181.34 version, and PC is Windows 7 home edition.

I am starting to think this might be some memory/buffer type issue.

Hi mc00, yes drivers are up to date, and this was confirmed by the HP/Compaq support tech when I first reported the problem to them, earlier this year. In that process with them the video driver was removed and reinstalled. They then concluded it was a problem with yahoo7plus, and I did not argue against this as they were providing support for free.

    Hi mc00,
thank you for your interest in my problem.
When I open Device Manager and click Display Adapters it comes up with "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family" where the driver version is 8.15.10.1883 dated 27/8/2009. As far as I can see I do not have ATI Radeon in this notebook. Furthermore, when I click update driver it says I have the latest.
    Regards, Thermionic Man.....

    Hi mc00,

    I am running 32bit W7.

Out of interest I tried a friend's Compaq Presario C700 running Vista 32bit, with a "Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family" display adapter and this does NOT exhibit this problem that mine does.
Hence I am assuming that 32bit OS is not necessarily the problem.
From your last post, are you suggesting I go to the link at Intel?

    Regards.....

Hi mc00, i did go to that intel site and ran the utility there to check my driver. It said that my machine has propriety drivers and that loading the generic drivers may cause failure. What should I do in your opinion, just load them? or heed the warning?
    Regards.....
