    Hello All

My first post here. I have a good old Compaq EVO N800w. It has helped me a lot since 2004 and im very proud of it even now,...except one thing. I have just realised that despite of it has an option in BIOS to boot from USB device (USB Hard Drive, or dongle) it does not actually allows to do. I dont know what i have missed, but i tried just about everything to search on the "not-so-complicated-infact-so-bloody-simple-and-almost-useless" BIOS setting (both new and old version). Everytime tried to attach my USB device (that has already been tested in other PC and worked) i always get error message "Error loading operating system" or black screen with blinking cursor on the top left corner of the screen.

Has anyone ever came accross this problem before?

    Thanks.

    Bump,..

Well, i guess nobody here never had this problem before.. (?),..Anyway, just a word of wisdom,...Test all your BIOS features and make sure they work..!! If not, go file a complain straight away before your Warranty finished...

Hi,..I did,..well the only so-called uptodate BIOS HP ever made for EVO N800w was revision 2004, which is probably has no different with the older one. But i reckon BIOS version is not the problem as both have the same feature "Boot from USB device"...
