    Compaq N800v no image on Screen Help!

    I have a Compaq N800v Laptop, when i switch it on i see the compaq logo briefly, then all goes black and i can just see the faint windows xp loading screen, any ideas people??? , is it the back light, or just the Inverter?

    i want to cry!!! :( :( :(

    what can nobody help, i cant be the only person this has ever happend to can i??? :confused:

    Well, you will have to physically test to find out since the inverter powers the backlight. If the inverter is dead then the backlight wont work and it might be that the backlight itself is burnt. I would check the inverter first and work up from there.
