    Hi everyone.
I have a Compaq Presario 1525 EA that does not star. This problem started when I had a hardware problem (Hard Drive). I bought a new hard drive and put it on the laptop with a windows xp operating system on the DVD drive. Everything went alright on the first part of the installation (files were copied to the hard drive) but when the notebook rebooted to start the second part of the installation of the O.S. it blocks only showing a blinking cursor on the top left side of the screen. It does not boot from the hard drive. Everything its ok on BIOS and the Hard Drive is working on another computer.
    Can anyone help me??
    Thanks,
    Best regards

Try and reinstall Windows XP again. It may be that Windows has compied a file incorrectly, and is incurring an error because of it. Hope this helps.
