This is actually a friend's computer who is visiting and his wireless card Broadcom 802.11b/g won't recognize any wireless networks when my two computers can and he is right next to the router.

I have checked device manager and it is working, I also troubleshot it and it says it is fine. It is also enabled.

I had disabled it the last time he was here so it would not interfere with his Ethernet connection. I don't know what happened since. He is not computer savvy.

I was looking for the HP wireless assistant and could not find it any where so I went to HP's site which tried to download it and stopped mid download and said it couldn't for an "unspecified" reason.

I've looked all over t see if there was a manual switch but I do not see one.

Does anybody have nay idea what I can do. He is here for 10 days and this is a PIA. I know it was working several weeks ago.
