    Compaq Presario 2500 reboots

    Hi,

    Everytime I try to install Windows XP on my Presario 2500, it reboot when it starts reading the CD. I tried to do this with Ubuntu and it did the same thing.

    Sorry for the delay. Here is the problem(s). It used to work in safe mode in windows xp Home Edition, but when I restart in normal mode, it reboots. I wiped out the HD and now I cannot reinstall the OS. The other problem is that the picture I get on the screen is smaller than the monitor.     Everything I use to start the computer with, it keeps rebooting.
