I have a problem. While removing my HDD, this connector broke off and the laptop is no longer usable. But, if I were to get a external casing for my HDD, and hook it up via USB, then set to automatically boot from USB, would it run fine. Would I be losing massive amounts of read speed. Any input is welcome.

This is the picture. The entire SATA connection is broken off along with all of the pins.
