This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I'm trying to get my Compaq Presario CQ70-260EV to boot from an external usb dvd drive but none of the existing boot-order options in the Insyde H20 bios utility works. The drive starts working, but then it falls through to the windows splash screen and vista starts up. Anyone know how to get this working?
