    Hi Guys

I am looking fro some avdice on the best battery to chose for my Compaq Presario CQ71 235SA Laptop.

    The choices I have are

    HP 12-cell Multi-charge Extended Battery (KS527AA) -
    • This 12-cell battery includes a port for your AC Adapter to plug directly into the battery and charge it while it is detached from the notebook.
The embedded fuel gauge tells you how much battery life is left without turning on your notebook
    • Delivering up to 8 hours battery life, the HP 12-Cell Battery gives you the maximum power available, doubling your work time compared with the time supplied by a standard 6-cell battery
    • Charge your battery while attached to your notebook or use the new AC Adapter port to charge while detached from the notebook.
Keep an eye on your power thanks to a 'fuel gauge' which monitors battery status without having to turn on your notebook
    • Maximise your battery life for more games, videos, music, and photo viewing without having to plug in your AC adapter
    • HP batteries are designed for and tested with all compatible HP notebook PCs so HP can deliver the highest quality products, services, and solutions to your home

Doesn't the CQ71 have an LED backlit screen?

If so, and unless you ar going to be running for hours with no possibility of a recharge, then it's probably safe to run with the 6 cell.

If you want max runtime without a recharge, then the 12 cell.

The 12 cell is more than double the weight of the 6 cell and sticks out of the bottom of the laptop more than 1 cm.
