I have a Compaq Presario F700 running Vista Basic with a none functional keyboard. Only a few keys are working normally. Maybe 4 or 5. Some do not work but start beeping after repetitive use. Looks to me like a buffer overrun. But the majority of the key are just dead. The keyboard does the same even in the BIOS screen.

I did a full system restore and pretty much the same result.

Before I bring it back to the store - it's still under warranty - is there anything I can do to pinpoint the problem or even fix it?

Are there any particular events that happen throughout the night that you aren't telling us about? We would need to know everything, and I mean everything.
