Laptop built on the XPRESS 200M IGP chipset.

Compaq lists 1024 as max memory. I currently have 2x512.

Has anyone tried 2x 1024 DIMMs?

Is it a chipset, or BIOS limitation of 1024 only?

2GB will work. Compaq just won't sell you that configuration. Buy a pair of these (Crucial PC3200).
