    Chris I picked it up this week. So far in my limited use I really like it a lot. The LCD is great and I am getting about 2 hours out of the battery. Depending on what you are going to be doing you may need to upgrade the memory. I slapped a 1 gig module in it and it greatly improved the performance. I would give the laptop a thumbs up.     I would recommend buying on HP.com. You can customize it there. I would recommend they 5400RPM hard drive for much better system perfromance. Plus HP.com only charges tax in a few states. The v2000z is a good budget notebook.
