I have a Compaq Presario R3000 Notebook with AMD processor and built in WiFi. The WiFI will not see my WiFi network. The router is an Actiontec with and Actiontec 11mbs PC card which acts as a the WiFi. My Sony notebook and my Pocket PC see the network.

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried reinstalling the Wifi drivers?? Your network seems to be a 802.11 'b' network and the Wifi card should be able to pick it up. You couls also try changing the channel because often times there might be some external interference(like a cordless phone).

Might want to see if there is a firmware update for your router.
