    Was woundering about the durability and if their was any known problems with Compaqs. I am considering getting a 3.2 Ghz 1G system... but it is only 1600 and was woundering about teh durbility.

    I have the R3000T for a couple of months now and the durability is fine. Heavy because it's 15.4 inch screen. Just get yourself the 12 cell battery for $25.00 more.

    So far the durability of the R3000 series has shown itself to be quite good. But we're still early in the lifecycle to know for sure. The recent HP/Compaq line however is turning out to be quite well made. The ZD7000 and x1000 series have been excellent designs and are proving very durable. And as you've noted, very competitively priced.
