    Compaq Presario R3000Z Package Size?

    (I also posted this at R3000forums.com)

    I'm about to order a R3000Z CTO notebook from HPShopping.com for a relative who lives outside the US. I want to estimate international shipping costs but I have to know beforehand how much will the package measure (length, width, height).
    Can anyone help me with those numbers?

    BTW, I won't order any extra accesories, just the notebook + a carrying case.

    I ordered and recieved this model. I can't tell you the exact because I don't have that box anymore but I can guess for you. I believe the box is about 15-17inches Height, 18inches wide and 8 inches wide. Now I don't know why but I say on the Fedex shipping label it said 30 pounds but it couldn't be that much its probably like 15 pounds shipping weight.

    Yikes! Since when did they bulk up the box so much? My Compaq came in a very small, short box, probably about 2-3 inches tall.

    No I didn't get a case from them, there are much better deals in retail stores. I think I have a better way to discribe the box size. Lets say about 3.5 inches wider then the laptop and 4 inches taller and about 4 inches deeper, hope this helps they are just big enough for the laptop a little pading and a 1.5 inch box next to it that holds the papers power supply and battery
