    Presario R4000 Series

This should be the fastest notebook built to date by far CPU wise. I presume socket 939. 64 bit and dual memmory and a 4000+ rating. But I can't help but getting a feeling of wasted potential since they do not offer higher end GPUs for it. It would simply out benchmark anything out there with similar GPU, and that is probably the reason.

Looks like an incredible nice notebook. New performance level for any notebook category and at such a low price. I would like to give it up for HP/Compaq for coming up with this one! Awesome.

Same configuration zv6000 comes out to $2,199.00 !!! I wonder if there is a pricing misstake with the R4000. $1,698.00 vs $2,199.00 same config makes no sence, or am I doing something wrong??

I bought the R4000 w/ the exact same upgrades (+ XP Pro) and it was 1797-30$ rebate. The 4000+ costs 625$ in the zv6000, and only 200$ on the compaq!?!?! All I'm saying is who cares what kind of malfunction it is, this is the best notebook on earth for that kind of $$ and possibly the just the best period!!! If only I could timewarp to 5/18......[ :p][ :p][ :p]- I cant wait to slap some add-in cards into those PCI-E slots and play some DOOM3 on high resolution on the big screen! Amen for AMD

The difference I found between the R4000 & zv6000 is in the price of the upgrades. What are standard on the R4000 costs you on the zv6000.

The R4k doesn't come with the option of Consumer IR (infrared) & it has better speakers (JBL). The Zv6k doesn't have a dedicated horizontal scrollzone in the touchpad.

Actually, I'm just hoping they're JBL considering I'm going with the much cheaper R4000...But, it's very likely they aren't.
