My LCD is like this when it's opened less than 90 degrees.

If you're lucky you'll need to reseat or replace the internal video cable. If you open and close the screen daily it's plausible. If that's not it, that leaves LCD replacement and that's probably not worth it.

    Anyone have a better idea?

It's the cable 100%. Should be cheap, the hard part is actually finding a similar cable.

I have a similar problem with mine. Screen starts than glows orange than goes out. Staples say I shoud replace the screen, But I think it is a connector or cable. If it was the screen it would be out all the time. I bought a new Laptop but would like to try replacing this cable. Is it in the hinge?

Yes it comes thru the left hinge. You're going to have to remove the screen bezel and the LCD to get the cable out.

Well it does look like a LCD cable. If it says compatible with V2000, well, that should be it. Order and find out. :p
