Compaq Presario v2010 For Sale

A day after I opened the box, my mother came home with an IBOOK that she had bought off of a friend (brand new, mind you, and what i've always wanted). The laptop is in PERFECT condition, not a single scratch or scuff at all.

I am asking 1200 because it does include the full version of Microsoft 2003 and because it is really actually brand new. comes with all original packaging, reboot discs, etc.

Office 2003 is outdated.Current is Office XP

 

Actually Office 2003 is the current version and is newer than Office XP. As for including it on the laptop, it's not a legal version so has no value. I agree, $1200 for a used v2000 with Celeron is a stretch.

 

If its really brand new, return it back to HP and get a refund.

Selling notebooks priced at $1200 is not a kids job. You still dont know what it means to be scammed..

i've actually already sold two laptops before. a gateway 4520 (or something of that sort) and an emachines m blah blah something.

and if it makes any difference, i have been scammed before. i tried selling my car last summer, almost got myself into a huge lawsuit and lost a lot of money because a ****head from nigeria decided it would be cute to write me a couterfeit check.

sorry you think my story stinks. i seriously have had this laptop sitting around for about 2 months because i can't find someone to buy it and i hate selling on ebay because you get a much lower price than expected. i was once very pleased with the way i could sell my laptop on amazon, but they took away the option to sell used computers. to tell you the truth i'd rather try and sell it to someone over the internet than fool with sending it back to hp/compaq waiting for them to look up an invoice... and send me a check. i'm in no real hurry to have any money for it at the moment as i'm not doing WITHOUT a computer.

the reason i my first post was a selling post is because i figured i would try a message board instead of ebay (and amazon doesn't do it anymore).

you could trust an 18 year old with money. i could accept payments through pay pal... i could set up an ebay buy it now auction at the agreed price. i wouldn't expect someone to send me 1200 cash or check and expect them to trust me completely.

by the way.. savvy my ass... you're a bunch of assholes who have too much time and over-analyze everything.

but thanks anyway. i'll reword my post and see if it changes anything.

first of all, your price sucks. you can buy the notebook new for the same price or cheaper then what your selling yours for. second, upload pictures if your serious about selling anything (pictures of the notebook, not yourself).

You state that you're not in a hurry. Why not deal with HP. It's a sure thing, while trying to sell it on the internet isn't as you found out.

i didn't even see this second page of replies. i had never heard of the nigerian check fraud or whatever it's called. i ended up returning the check, i didn't use the money, and i still have my car. i didn't fall for it completely. something seemed strange so i researched it before i completed the sale.

if i call you an asshole... that doesn't mean i'm a scamster. you're just seriously an asshole.

does HP refund shipping... like when i ship it to them? i know it's going to cost like 25 to ship and insure. so that would suck if not.

how are you all not acting like real assholes. i'm just trying to sell my laptop. i'm not a scammer. i can see how someone might think that from my first post because it was not very detailed but i fixed and reposted so that i didn't seem like that... because i am not a scammer! gfjdka;fjs this is so frustrating. it almost makes me want to cry. good going hurting a girls feelings. i bet you all feel really proud.

if i posted a picture of ME with the laptop would you all believe me then? i just want to sell my laptop. i lowered it to 1000 i think that's reasonable since i have the version with a bigger HD and more memory... and it is new and comes with a few programs. i asked how much it should be sold for and no one replied.
