Hi, I am looking for the R3000T with WUXGA, I have heard vague reports of people not being happy with it but I can't actually find one. Does anyone know if they actually exist or are they not in production any more? Any info on these would be appreciated.

i would recommend that same model with downgrading the screen. unless your a sirous gamer and you want to max all you other specs out too so you can play on those vedio settings i dont recomend it. you should take a step down and to with the WXGA brightvew(greatly improves contrast and vewing experiance)

I managed to get one back in November and have been very happy with it; no dead pixels, and the contrast/brightness are just fine for my purposes. Unfortunately, HP seems to have discontinued the WUXGA option; my guess is either it didn't sell, or they had too many returns on it.

A quick look on eBay shows only the zt3000 available in WUXGA -- it's basically the HP Pavillion equivalent of the R3000T. If you really want WUXGA, it looks like you'll have to go with the Dell Inspirons; my previous laptop was an Inspiron 8000, and they're good machines.

Sony Vaio and IBM T42 offer the WUXGA resolution as well, but they are expensive.
