After realizing that I spent way to much money on my dell to not get the specs I want, andfinding out that my momwas planning onbuying a notebook for herself (I am a college studentliving at home.). talked my mom into buying her notebook now and letting me use it until either the AMD 90nm processors or the sonoma chipcomes out. So today we went out and bought a Compaq R3240 from BB. Its not the best, but its good for her and the spec is pretty good for the price. It has the AMD64 3200+ 512mb of ram, DVD+R/RW, etc. From my experience, and even what it says on the box, the 3200+ is supposed to run at 2.0ghz. But when I looked in system info, it says it is runnign at 1.6ghz. Is this normal, or what? Thanks

just change the power properties to always on, or Home office desk the CPU is throttling to save power.
