I'm pretty set on getting a Compaq R4000, and will be skimping on the RAM in order to buy 1GB from NewEgg.com. However, I can't seem to find what type of RAM it takes. I tried searching HP.com, and it came up with mainly 333mhz. I looked on this page, and the R4000 is not listed as being compatible...

I'm wondering if maybe the webmaster is a bit behind since the R4000 is still listed as "new" on HPShopping. Just wanted to make sure, as I'd hate to order from NewEgg only to find out I got the wrong type! Also, if anyone could suggest a good brand of notebook RAM, that'd be helpful as well. I'm looking at the brand KingMax, as it is reasonably priced, and had good feedback on NewEgg. Anyways, if you guys know more specifics, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    It uses PC2700.

Yes, that is correct, only one battery may be installed at a time. Unless you get an extra battery that plugs into the optical drive port or the AC adapter.

Okay, here's a dumb question: It gives you the option of getting an extra battery, but these can't both be mounted in the laptop at the same time, right? In other words, you have to swap one out for the other?
