    ...i am quite pleased with the decision to buy the Compaq Presario R4010CA. Wow ..!! Anyone considering the Compaq Presario R4000 series ...it's really a no brainer ..

    ..the quality of this laptop is incredible. the features are endless. and great value for the money ..


    ..as i learn more about this laptop, i would enjoy sharing this knowledge (experience) with the forum later ...k ..?? ..oh and lots of pictures ..!!

    ...yeah, i'm pretty happy. to be honest, it was upon my discovering this web site that i was able to learn a great deal about notebooks (brands, technology ...performances..etc..etc..).

    ...still have the old beater though (NEC Versa LX) ...can't let it go .. = )

    r4000 is the name of the series, 4010 is a specific configuration.

    4012, 4025, etc....ALL are r4000's.

    Congradulations on your new notebook, sounds fantastic. HP has always had an excellent quality notebook.

    I was considering buying a R4000, but I am a gamer, so I am stuck on the graphics. Have you tried Far Cry or Half Life 2 on there?

    have not played these specific games. Although am playing Splinter Cell without any issue ...played Brother's in Arms on this machine ...with some random (periodic) delay however.

    Trakiec ...please see the link below for more data on the R4010. This is link to Canadian site. Same configuration as the US version of R4010...the R4010US.
