I was wondering if anyone knew what motherboard compaq puts in their R4025 laptops?
I have one that has "died" on me but still gives off two patterns of beeps. I will have to send it back to get it repaired (still under warranty woo!) but before doing so I would like to know what the beeps mean.
If I knew what the motherboard was I may be able to decode the beeps.

    Can anyone help?

I haven't checked, but the service manual might tell you. Go to the hp.com support/download page for your notebook and click the Manuals link on the left-hand side.

Isn't the motherboard built by the ODM, most probably either by Compal or Quanta.
