I'm about to get a notbeook cooler

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834999412

and just wanted to be sure that the fan on my Compaq V2000Z won't be blowing out against the cooler, which has fans blowing up. I tried checking several times by putting my hand against the exhaust, but can't seem to tell which direction the fan is blowing. Does anyone know for sure? I would call HP support, but they don't seem to know much about anything.

It won't, don't worrie about it. That fan is blowing INto the laptop. The exhaust is on the back, look for the copper heatsink

Thanks... that's what I was hoping for. My only problem now is figuring out how to sit my notebook onto the cooler with the 12 cell battery sticking out.

Yeah... right. I'm so glad I paid the extra $25 for it. I know some people complain about how it sticks out, but with the angle, I find it much easier to type. Plus, you can't beat being able to watch two movies during a 5 hour flight.

Would much rather have five hours than two even if it adds a little weight and sticks out.

I actually haven't used my notebook off the battery yet. I'm always plugged in at work and I prefer my much faster desktop at home. But hopefully, when I go on my next business trip, I'll get at least 5 hours of battery time.
