    Working on a Compaq V5000
Wifi started dropping connections and locking up.

I fresh format XP and stopped the locks but Broadcom won't hold the drivers.

Purchased new Broadcom mini pci but receive unsupported card error message. Can't get anywhere with new card. Clearing CMOS with removal of batteries cleared the IRQ errors but unsupported is still there.

Be careful to buy only exact part number. Same general brand will not always make it. Bought from Geeks.com and listed as compatible with Compaq.
