Hello, I bought about a month ago an X6000, on which I installed Windows 2003 (I know is not supported by HP). I have the version with modem and LAN (no Bluetooth, no Wireless).
I managed to have all drivers working properly, except for one Unknown PCI Device, which I am pretty sure is related to the HSF modem.
Yesterday evening I connected an IDE Mobile Rack on USB, and while having the rack connected, I tried to connect to the internet via dialup (which worked fine before).
I received a blue screen, that did not give any indications of relation to drivers, however after various experiments, I resolved the problem lies with mdmxsdk.sys, and is some wrong setting in the registry. However I couldn't figure out what to do to fix it.
What I think is happening (can't figure out the reasons though) is that something holds COM3, and mdmxsdk is trying to write to COM3, which is opened exclusievely by some other driver.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue, aside from reinstalling / giving up Windows 2003?

    Thanks,
    Ana
