    Hi all!
    I am posting here as a last resort after trying to get the wireless card working on my friends Compaq c770US laptop. He managed to get quite a few viruses on his install of vista and after an unsuccessful repair I decided to format and install XP onto it. After hunting down XP versions of all drivers the only hardware not working is the wireless card (Atheros 5006X) the problem is that the card does not turn on from the switch on the keyboard. the drivers installed fine but the card just refuses to turn on (It was working fine yesterday when vista was installed)
    I am completely lost as i have tried almost everything. Any ideas?
