I may take my compaq cq61-411 back to Wal-Mart and get this same exact model online. ( It's under 15 days since I bought it)

This is my model I have now:
Walmart.com: Compaq 15.6" Presario CQ61-411wm Laptop PC with AMD Sempron Processor & Windows 7 Home Premium: Computers

    # AMD Sempron processor for notebook PCs M120
    2.10 GHz, Up to 3.2 GT/s, 512 KB L2 Cache
    # 2 GB MB DDR2 System Memory
Enough memory to handle today's most memory-hungry applications
    # 250 GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive
Store your music, videos, photos and documents with plenty of space to spare
    # LightScribe SuperMulti 8x DVD+R/RW drive with double layer support
Play and create CDs and DVDs with this DVD/CD burner drive
    # Wired Ethernet; Wireless WiFi
Connect to a broadband modem with 10/100 Ethernet; connect wirelessly to a WiFi network or hotspot with built-in 802.11b/g/n WLAN; High speed 56k modem
    # 15.6 Diagonal HD HP BrightView Widescreen display
1366x768 resolution; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Graphics with 128 MB Display Cache Memory

    This is one online:
Presario CQ61-411 [WR121EA] - AED2,299.00: Consumer by Hewlett Packard : Computer Depot, Dubai - Buy Cheap Laptop, Desktop, Servers, Ipods

    # Intel Dual Core T4400 2.2GHz
    # 1MB L2 cache
    # 4GB DDR-2 RAM
    # 500GB 5400rpm HDD
    # LightScribe Supermulti DVD±RW with double layer support drive
    # 15.6" diagonal high definition HP BrightView display
    # Integrated web camera
    # Intel graphics media accelerator 4500M, up to 1695MB total available graphics memory
    # 5-in-1 card reader
    # Ports - 3x USB 2.0, 1x VGA port, 1x RJ45, 1x headphone-out, 1x mic-in
    # Integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN
    # 802.11 b/g/n WLAN
    # Bluetooth
    # 6 cell lithium-Ion battery
    # Windows 7 Home Basic 64 Bit

As you can see.. it is the Exact same model but it has a dual core instead of single, 4 gigs instead of 2, twice the HD size, a webcam, And it's 50 bucks cheaper.

A first glance I would be a Fool not to jump at this deal. I don't know how they can load it up like that and sell it cheaper than the cheap Wal-Mart price I paid which is 350 bucks.

I want it to play games. I was thinking of spending the 100 bucks needed to upgrade this to 4 gigs of ram but this deal looks way better. I'm thinking I'm not understanding something and there is a big catch someplace.

I don't know the difference between the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Graphics with 128 MB Display Cache Memory and the Intel graphics media accelerator 4500M, with up to 1695MB total available graphics memory.

Would the Intel CPU and Graphics be better than what I have now?

I also don't know what the page means where it says, " AED2,299.00 "
If $299.00 is the price.. what is AED2 ?

    Please give advice. Thanks!

Edit: I did see one bad review for the Intel graphics accerlertor here:
    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-4500MHD-GMA-X4500MHD.9883.0.html

It says its not even as good as the ATI 3200 and I have a 4200.. Perhaps its just better if I keep what I have and upgrade the ram?

I think it meant 2,299.00 in United Arab Emirates Dirham. Which means, 1 AED = $.27 in USD. So it is NOT $299.00 but actually $626 USD. At that rate, it is not worth it at all. You can get something pretty good for just $100-$200 USD more.

Oh I see.. LOL.. Thanks for the heads up.. I Goggled AED2 but didn't come across anything saying it was a type of currency.

And Im reading more about the Intel stuff.. it seems the intel stuff is so low key that they added the larger drive ram and webcam to make up for it. For now, I'm just gonna keep what I have and upgrade the ram for the lowest price I can find. HP sells the ram for 47 dollars per 2 gig stick so I should be able to find it cheaper online.
