Error 104-unsupported wireless device detected. I have installed a new motherboard and this is all I get. Can't get into BIOS or anything else to try to fix problem. Everything I have looked at tells me it is a BIOS fix but I can't get into the system. I also can't change the hex code as some site recommend. Please help as HP is of no help.

You need to remove the miniPCI wireless card and either find one that is approved by your new motherboard's BIOS (recommended) or patch the BIOS and reinstall the existing card.
Hey HP: will you PLEASE remove these idiotic whitelists from the BIOS? No one else has them so obviously the FCC doesn't really care. -
The only wireless card is on the motherboard. Can I disable it?

That's the miniPCI card slot it's plugged into. You'll see two antenna leads plugged into the card. Unplug the antenna leads and remove the card like you would a SODIMM. There's no way to disable it, it has to be physically removed.
Don't forget to remove the battery first of course.
