    Hi!

My father has a 6 yrs old Presario 2570us. I want to upgrade it a little, to make it faster. It had an old fujitsu hdd (4200 rpm, 18mb/s average read - hdtach), I thought I can easily buy a new, faster one. I bought a Samsung HM160HC winchester.
The problem: in windows xp it works only in PIO mode, and I can't change it to DMA. (I tried "everything")

is there any solution, or it is incompatible with this hdd? what should I do?
