    My laptop has heating problem..

I took apart mine, sadly my GPU thermal pad was very old, dusty and sticky...So i removed the pad applied some paste on the GPU and the heatsink surface that touches my GPU.(to be clear there was no paste before only a thermal pad).. But my cpu had old thermal paste dripping of.. So i removed it and also reapplied new paste.

Temprature diff. is not very much. here are the results:---

With 5 chrome tabs and yahoo messenger + Hardware monitor utility --- Core temps- 61, Mainboard temp- 55, Hard disk-48 [Celcius]
With 5 chrome tabs and yahoo messenger + Hardware monitor utility + ANgry Birds Space--- Core temps- 86, Mainboard temp- 67, Hard disk-48 [Celcius]

These are almost or you can say SAME as before

HELP... If applying copper shim between my gpu and heatsink will do any good ? Also the part of my heatsink that covers my gpu does not have a copper(yellow) surface .. its surface is normal as in -->(grey coloured..)
I can post a picture If needed !!

    Thx in advance
