I'm configuring a Compaq laptop for my mom and she wants to know what their tech support policy is. For instance, Dell gives tech support for up to 4 years or something. I couldn't find any info on the Compaq website...

    Thanks for the help.

Dell doesn't give away 4 years either, you have to buy it. When you are configuring and pricing out your laptop, you have the option of extending the coverage period at additional cost. It comes with 1 year, any longer will cost you. It's up to you to figure out how much more you want to spend.
