My apologies if this question has been previously posted - it didn't appear in any of the searches I attempted!

I purchased the v2305 on the weekend, and I was a bit surprised that the box did not include a user manual! There was a brief installation guide, but nothing that provided information on the features. I also searched the HP website (which seemed very confusing), but did not find anything that described the features of the computer!

Perhaps I missed something? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, for $899 CDN, I am very happy with the computer.

    Thanks!

Yeah it didnt come with many instructions but its good for the price. I have one problem with it, when i check mobile meter for the battery wear it says its 30% and the notebook only lasts 2hours 10minutes with the standard 6 cell battery. how long does your v2305 last? does it have the same amount of battery wear as mine?
mobile meter can be downloaded at:

After spending some time navigating around my computer, I did find a manual! I clicked on the help and support icon in the start menu - one of the subsequent selections was manuals. Next time I will spend a bit more time exploring!

My notebook battery lasts about the same amount of time - but I haven't manipulated any of the power saving settings at all. Some folks have suggested to decrease the brightness level to 7 (out of 10). Have you tried the battery calibration? I haven't - mine seems to be fairly accurate thusfar - I let it run right down to hibernation mode, and the percentage indicated was bang on!

    Thanks for the reply!
