    Compaq v3000z Screen Blacks Out on Battery

    When the computer is on battery power the screen will flicker and then eventually go black. This never happens when it is plugged in.

    Did a quick search and saw someone was having a similar issue with an HP dv6000, but no solutions other than to try a new battery. Seeing as how I don't have another battery, any chance this is something else?
