    i have a compaq v6500 with a t5250 1.5ghz dual core cpu

i have maxed the ram to 4gb and am thinking of upgrading the cpu.

    i think i can put a t5750 (2ghz) or a t5850 (2.17ghz)

they both run on the same voltage and 667mhz FSB and fit socket P like the t5250.

will there be an issue with cooling?

do they typically run much hotter?

the TDP is similar or less...suggesting that i could effect this upgrade without too much worry.

    any thoughts?

    many thanks.
