    Hi, friends...

I have got Notebook Compaq Presario.. I cant connect to the internet using the wireless connection.. the reason is that i accidentally did some operations, and cannot switch on the light on the front panel of the notebook.. it does not work, i mean the light of the wireless connection button does not light.... I turned off something... Do you by chance know what the problem is?

    thanks, thanks in Advance!!!

    You explained earlier that:

Have you checked Device Manager to ensure that the wireless adapter is detected?

Right click Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Expand "network adapters"

    Network adapters are OK..

    Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN
Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC

Ar the bottom of the start menu (near the clock) it shows that Wireless Network connection 2 is not connected...

But in my Task manager there is One unknown device.. named "Other devices"

If your adapter lights are not on, then you may be experiencing driver issues even if the device is recognized. You may want to reinstall the WLAN drivers using the latest from the manufacturer's website.

I reinstalled the driver.. no light again. but i tested the hardware, the light suddenly was on.. but it says you shoould switch on the radio button located at the top of the notebook,, but it does not work either. might the problem be with the button function? after i tested the hardware, it was on.. but the ardio button is still switched off. now it does not allow me to switch it off / on... after the restart of the computer it is still OFF... ;(
