I guess the subject pretty much explains my dilema, I've looked many laptops and finally came down to these. I really don't care much about the Win XP Media Center (I'm not going to use my laptop to watch TV), but apart from that it seems every feature in the zd8000 is expensier than the x6000, is it because the quality of the components used in the HP are better or because the compaq doesn't carry the HP label (marketing stuff I mean)?.

The ZD8000 and X6000 bascially have the same components, its most likely to do with the marketing. If you don't care about Win XP MCE, get the X6000, its a really good desktop replacement.

Thank you for the quick answer, also some of the other forums helped to clear this up (in case someone else comes to read this [ ;)])
