The AC jack on this model is not connected to the case and malfunctions (won't charge) after awhile. Mine has this problem. Eventually it damages the motherboard. In calling HP they will replace parts, but not re-engineer the thing so it won't happen again......I'm in the market for a new notebook for this reason.....Does anyone know if HP has fixed this problem for their new laptops?

ehhh....this problem happens with a lot of laptop companies. it happened with my bf's old dell latitude, and recently to my old clevo/sager/prostar. i would hope that they have fixed it....but i am unsure about that.
