    Does anyone know what the difference is between these two hp models, the dv9627 and the dv9000?

    Isn't dv9000 used to refer to the whole 9xxx series? Like on my laptop it says dv2500, but the model number is really dv2675.

    yeah mine says dv9000 on it, and its a dv9627. i just wanted to know if they gave me the right model. Thanks!!

    Look for the model number underneath the notebook. The one on the LCD bezel just describes the main series the notebook belongs.

    Basically you have a dv9000 series->dv95xx/dv96xx 'sub-series'->dv9627us model.
