In this week's Comp USA ad, it says you can design your own v2000 for $999 after rebates. This appears to be $200+ cheaper than what I can get through my EPP at Hpshopping.com with the same specs (1.6, 512mb, Brightview?, DVD/CDRW, 40GB HD..will upgrade myself later). Does anyone have any experience ordering through Comp USA? Do you basically go to a kiosk at the store and the order is sent to HP directly?

    Thanks

You got figure in you have to pay tax at CompUSA. HPShopping.com only charges tax in a few states. Make sure you make copies of all receipts, rebate forms and UPCs before you send them off. If they get lost, you're hosed. Never bought a computer at CompUSA. I know they have kiosks at Office Depot. Good Luck.
