I have an HP laptop, using Nvidia graphics. I'm not entirely sure, but I think this problem began after I updated the driver for the graphics card (Nvidia Go 6150). Now, my laptop won't shutdown properly. It'd hang at the "Shutting down" part. Now the thing is that I use readyboost using an SD card. If I pull it out, the laptop shuts down like it's supposed to. How can I shutdown the computer without having to pull out my readyboost everytime? Thanks.
I read that some people disable the Nvidia driver helper under services.msc, however I don't see anything Nvidia related there.

Readyboost is pretty worthless. I wouldn't even bother using it. If you run a search on it, you'll find similar comments about it. I'd just forget using your SD card as a readyboost.

Have you downloaded the latest updates/service pack?

Apparently Readyboost gives me 0.3 more RAM (total of 5.3) performance according to performance information and tools. So, I'd like to use it.
I didn't, rather I did, but for some reason the updates made my computer much slower than I'd like, so I system restored and said forget about it. -
SP1 has fixes and updates for Readyboost. It might fix this

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I have time to fiddle around with the computer.
Computer won't shutdown gracefully. Help please.
