Has anyone got the Conexant High Definition Audio WinXP 64-bit Audio Driver for HP and Compaq notebooks? I'm searching for that almost one and half year by now, still looking.

Dell has everything with 64-bit drivers, but HP has ignored all the requests for WinXP 64-bit drivers.

Well, it depends on if your notebook is AMD or Intel based. I believe, on some AMD based notebooks, even though they say Conexant HD Audio, that the ATI southbridge driver for x64 can work, though it may need to be modified. If it is an Intel-based system, I think you're just screwed. Conexant has never released 64-bit drivers for their chipset, as far as I know. Even their latest Vista driver is 32-bit only, although some sites are mis-identifying it as 32-bit/64-bit compatible.

    Sorry... it sucks, I know.

HP really sucks, why they chose Conexant?

I have a dv9000t customized and another one is Compaq v6000, both don't have sound since I'm using Win 2003 64-bit.

Companies don't listen to customers, eventually I'll return both to HP. Who's loser, I guess it's HP.
